Summary

Everyone faces uncertainty at some point in their lives。 Even a brilliant surgeon like Kenzo Tenma is no exception。 But there's no way for him to know that his decision to stop chasing professional success and instead concentrate on his oath to save peoples' lives will result in the birth of an abomination。 The questions of good and evil now take on a terrifyingly real dimension。

Years later, in Germany during the tumultuous post-reunification period, middle-aged childless couples are being killed one after another。
The serial killer's identity is known。
The reasons why he kills are not。
Dr。 Tenma sets out on a journey to find the killer's twin sister, who may hold some clues to solving the enigma of the "Monster。"

I heard this story was on the same level of crazy as death note。 I was not disappointed, this story will define have you craving more。 The first volume was just a set up and some back story。 The ending of this volume foreshadows that this will be a ride that I will ride over and over again。

Tardó un poco en comenzar, pero buah。 Esta muy bueno。

Thrilling first volume - really cool premise and the story draws you in immediately。 I had to restrain myself from skipping ahead a few times because the suspense was so palpable。 Already invested in the key characters and interested in seeing how they are developed。 The art is great as well, very clean and the action is easy to follow。 Characters are distinct and expressive。 Even without an overwhelming amount of details all of the scenes feel fully fleshed out。

This was a reread for me (of the whole manga) and while I don’t think it’s the best of Urasawa’s works in terms of pace (that’s Pluto imo), it’s definitely a masterpiece。

I loved going into this Manga not knowing anything about it。 Especially since I've been binge watching Grey's Anatomy for more than a month now。 Having the protagonist as a surgeon was a nice surprise。 This was a ten out of ten first volume and certainly my favourite Manga I've read this year, so far。 It was mysterious, brutal, intriguing, captivating and beautifully illustrated。Definitely one to check out。 I loved going into this Manga not knowing anything about it。 Especially since I've been binge watching Grey's Anatomy for more than a month now。 Having the protagonist as a surgeon was a nice surprise。 This was a ten out of ten first volume and certainly my favourite Manga I've read this year, so far。 It was mysterious, brutal, intriguing, captivating and beautifully illustrated。Definitely one to check out。 。。。more

é metáfora q chama 。。。more

~5/5~ hooked!I was absolutely blown away by this manga。 It was such a page turner, I just couldn't put it down! Urasawa's art is beautiful, and his writing seems effortless。 He presents Tenma in such a way where I was instantly rooting for him。 Urasawa puts you directly into Tenma's bubble, yet as the same time makes you feel so helpless as Tenma's life takes a turn for the worst。 The story is rivoting for this reason。 Perhaps a reason why I loved it so much is its ties to the serial killer thri ~5/5~ hooked!I was absolutely blown away by this manga。 It was such a page turner, I just couldn't put it down! I have searched every corner online and can't seem to find it, I really hope it is available again soon! 。。。more

Really excellent thriller manga。 I think that it's probably technically perfect; there's nothing that I would really change about it。 If anything, a couple of characters are kind of shallow and come off as a little cartoony, but I've known people like this before, so I wouldn't say it's unrealistic。 This one is consistently great all the way through and it seems like it's only the beginning of something much greater。 Looking forward to what comes next。 Really excellent thriller manga。 I think that it's probably technically perfect; there's nothing that I would really change about it。 If anything, a couple of characters are kind of shallow and come off as a little cartoony, but I've known people like this before, so I wouldn't say it's unrealistic。 This one is consistently great all the way through and it seems like it's only the beginning of something much greater。 Looking forward to what comes next。 。。。more

A really interesting start to the 'Monster' series。 I was recommended to read this and I didn't expect the twist in Chapter 8。 I hope it continues to get better! This story idea of a Dr。 saving a child patient that ended up being an insane serial killer is so intriguing and the first volume really sets up the series to be INTENSE and stressful。 I’m ready to follow along and see what this killer of “pure evil” ends up doing。

This is one of my favorite anime of all time and I am so happy that the adaptation stayed true to this fantastic manga。 The first volume is just phenomenal and the included colored illustrations were so beautiful。 This is such a good thriller/crime drama and I cannot wait to continue it。 I highly recommend both the manga and anime for this series。

Una historia con intriga, tensión, personajes profundos y genialmente construidos。 Además de unos dibujos preciosos, con historias insertadas tiernas, que te llegan al corazón para quedarse。

This manga explores the question of good and evil in a way that is both challenging and entertaining to read。 When surgeon Kenzo Tenma believes he has made the right choice in disobeying orders to operate on a young boy who came into the hospital first not the Mayor who came in later, he could not have foreseen the consequences which would unfold following his decision。 Monster was fast paced and very well written。 The art style is incredible。 It challenges big ideas and concepts in a way which This manga explores the question of good and evil in a way that is both challenging and entertaining to read。 When surgeon Kenzo Tenma believes he has made the right choice in disobeying orders to operate on a young boy who came into the hospital first not the Mayor who came in later, he could not have foreseen the consequences which would unfold following his decision。 Monster was fast paced and very well written。 The art style is incredible。 It challenges big ideas and concepts in a way which is very real and relatable。 。。。more

I haven’t read a manga IN A MINUTE。 And I really enjoyed it! It’s my first manga by Naoki Urasawa and I truly understand why he is one of the BEST mangakas out there。 His art style might be a little bit “old” and not spectacular but oml does he know how to create a tense atmosphere。 The way he works with shadows is amazing as well。 The story is fast-paced, exciting and very promising for the next volumes。 I like how different all these characters are although they are quite stereotypical as well I haven’t read a manga IN A MINUTE。 And I really enjoyed it!
